Omni + ad campaign featured on LA Times Blog
The ad campaign I photographed last year for OmniMount called Omni + is featured on the LA Times Blog. I love the reference to the Unhappy Hipsters site, not a dig at all but a huge compliment to me. Bring on the existential hipster jokes….

And one more shot from the campaign that is on the LA Times blog but not on my site…

New work, February 2010
I am currently photographing work for a self promotion campaign. I photograph a lot of personally assigned work between paid assignments both to stay creative and also to use for promotional purposes. I started planning the project last fall and have collaborated with stylist Laura Flagler on all aspects of the project including: wardrobe, locations, props and styling.

So far in January we have already shot at a number of locations with several different models and things have started coming together. This shot is of Kelsee Wirtjes with The Agency Arizona. The project isn’t finished yet, but this is a sneak preview of what I am working on for epromos and print promos for 2010.
Picturing Maricopa project finished…

In August I photographed a project commissioned by the Virginia G. Piper Charitable Trust called Picturing Maricopa. The Piper Trust commissioned 15 Valley photographers to work with different nonprofit organizations to “tell their stories” to clients, partners and potential donors.
The organization I was selected to work with was St. Joseph The Worker. Based in downtown Phoenix, St. Joseph The Worker assist homeless, low-income and other disadvantaged individuals in their efforts to become self-sufficient through permanent, full-time employment. Here are a few of my favorite images from the project.
Picturing Maricopa Project
I recently found out that I was selected by the Virginia G. Piper Charitable Trust as one of 15 photographers in the Phoenix area to participate in a community photography project called Picturing Maricopa.

The Piper Trust has designed Picturing Maricopa to commission Valley professional photographers to photograph Maricopa County nonprofit organizations to “tell their stories” to clients, partners and potential donors where the goal is to capture the essence of each organization’s mission through images.
The project will take place over the summer and culminate in a public exhibit where a selection of prints, chosen by the selection advisory committee in conjunction with the photographer. After the exhibit, the prints will be given to the photographed organizations for display in their facilities.

Website redesign by Fine Citizen and Arcade Media
After months of working to move my old site into a more functional and commerce driven direction, it’s finally done…
The site has been completely redesigned, there is now an online archive (click below) and a lot of new work in each of the different galleries.
Many thanks to Lucas McClain of Fine Citizen and Kevin Ross of Arcade Media who handled the art direction and production of the site.
PDN, PhotoServe Portfolios of the Month
I have been selected as one of the top 10 portfolios of the month in January on Photo District News’ PhotoServe web portal. This the second time I have had the honor of being featured with a portfolio of the month (perviously I was featured in June 2004.)
