I recently collaborated with stylist Aeni Domme and dancer Chris Morgan on a shoot in the studio. Chris is a great subject and was in Phoenix working on the Arizona Theatre Company’s Production of Ain’t Misbehavin’.  Here are a few of my favorites from the shoot.

Kurt Warner of the Arizona Cardinals

In late November I photographed Super Bowl XXXIV MVP and current Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kurt Warner. This was a cover and feature for AZ Magazine for the January 2008 issue of the magazine.

Phoenix Magazine “Points of View” Essay

In May 2006, I started working on an photo essay for Phoenix Magazine, called “Points of View.” The idea behind the project was to capture images of situations in and around the Phoenix metro area that a normal person doesn’t encounter on a daily basis. What I didn’t know at the time was that it by the time the project was completed it would be nearly 18 months from the date I started the project.

When the project was finished in the Fall of 2007, it included a number of unique ‘views’ such as: inside the operating room during heart surgery, behind bars at the county jail, onstage during a sold-out concert and a view from the roof of the stadium during a Major League Baseball game. The essay appears as a 12 page spread in the December 2007 edition of Phoenix Magazine. Check it out if you get the chance.

Mark Calcaveccia for Golf Magazine

In August I photographed a feature on golfer Mark Calcaveccia for Golf Magazine. Golf has a monthly feature showing the interests or hobbies of some of the professionals on the tour and this one shows ‘Calc’ participating in his other favorite sport, bowling.

In December, I was in the studio photographing Paul Konerko first baseman for the World Champion Chicago White Sox for the cover of the New Years edition of Time Out Chicago.

During the month I also shot assignments for People Magazine, The New York Times, Bicycling, Storage Magazine and a cover for Microsoft Momentum Magazine.
